Cathleen McCabe, MD serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Eye Health America. She is a renowned eye surgeon having performed more than 50,000 laser cataract and 17,000 LASIK procedures. Dr. McCabe has a deep interest in research; participating frequently in clinical trials involving innovations for glaucoma, dry eye, and presbyopia.
Dr. McCabe received the American Academy of Ophthalmology Achievement and Secretariat Awards and was chosen as a LASERVISION Top 100 LASIK Surgeon. She serves as Chair of the Refractive Surgery Clinical Committee for the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and serves on the governing board of ASCRS. In 2021 and 2022, she was named to the Global Top 100 Power list. She holds leadership positions and volunteers frequently for national and global charitable organizations.
Dr. McCabe earned her bachelor’s degree at Florida Institute of Technology, her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, and received her residency training at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
